The real deal in the Munch museum in Oslo (well, a photo of it)... and in case you're wondering, cause you've seen his screaming in color, there are three versions of it (yes, just like the original scream movies by Wes Craven): two color ones and the one shown here. They are displayed in a separate room in the museum, but only one at a time. You have to wait - I believe 30 minutes - then the one on display is hidden (by doors closing), and another one is displayed (by doors opening). I considered it a bit of a gimmick, but at least you don't overdose on the depression these paintings might cause...

But seriously, it was impressive to see these iconic paintings for real. It wasn't the aim of our visit to Oslo and in fact I hadn't realized they were on display there, until I bumped into a promotion of the Munch museum, so overall a very nice surprise.
