It Strikes Again
Lightning over Malaysia...
Back in 2012, when where I lived had a safe vantage point over an open field (now no more, all developed into houses that block the view)... on a regular basis I tried to shoot lightning. It was a painstaking process (I didn't use a tripod)... standing still with the camera up in my face, pointed and ready... just waiting and waiting, an easy prey for the relentless mosquitos you usually can keep away by moving around - which wasn't an option -, waiting for the sky to light up (and then usually snap too late).
Above photo is a result of one of those itchy sessions.
