Back in 2007, when living in the center of Kuala Lumpur, I took a lot of photos of the dark, dank and dilapidated back alleys of the area where I lived (don't worry, my apartment was quite new). The contrast in Kuala Lumpur between the new and shiny and these rotting away old buildings nobody seems to own or care for, is (too) strong.
I also like night photography. The camera sees things we can't. When I took this shot I didn't see the kitten, it was simply too dark. Maybe you have to search for it, but he or she is there. I couldn't see the kitten, but the kitten could see me...
